School Academics Overview
Education at our school is aligned with NCERT and NEP 2020 as curricular structure 5+3+3+4. We make our students ready for today’s rapidly changing world. Through students participation and interaction we shift from rote learning to holistic, integrated, enjoyable and engaging learning. This includes Project based learning(PBA), interdisciplinary learning(IDP), Art Integrated Learning(AIL), Mathematical computation, Artificial Intelligence etc.
Besides Academics we emphasis on honing multi skills of a child by introducing Sportive and Non sportive activities, counselling sessions, Social and Emotional Learning and inculcation of sound values ,so that they can become a responsible citizen in future. Our school is pioneer in the region to be ready for modern teaching methods. Digitally Smart Classes are utilised as teaching Aid.

Foundational Stage
The first five years of education from ages 3 to 8, called the Foundational Stage these years are the most critical for lifelong well-being and overall development of individuals—physical, cognitive and socio-emotional. Brain development happens fastest in these years. In HAPS ‘Early Childhood Care and Education’ (ECCE) is of prime importance hence we hire Montessori Trained, compassionate, Mother Teachers who help in developing child’s foundational Literacy--Reading, Speaking, Writing and interpreting his/her thoughts; Numeracy-- ability to reason and to apply simple numerical concepts by activities as conversations, stories, songs and rhymes, music and movement, art and craft, indoor and outdoor games, field trips, being amid nature and playing with materials and toys which help them to bloom into self-reliant individuals.
Preparatory Stage
The Preparatory stage, which covers grades 3 to five, will transition gradually from play-based learning to more formal but interactive classroom learning . Subject expertise help students hone their skills in reading ,writing, speaking , physical education, Art, languages, science , mathematics by activities like Reading Mission, spell Bee, Olympiads, Practicals, Intra Schools Cmpetitions, Excursion etc.
Middle Stage
In Middle Stage as per NEP 2020 we focus on subject learning and discussion of more abstract concepts in subjects like sciences, mathematics, arts, social sciences and humanities by taking up Project base learning, Art Integrated learning, Performing and Visual Arts, Lab activities, Nukkad Natak, club activities, Intre Schools Competitions etc. The main emphasis is to enable the Child to develop communicative skills both Spoken and written.
Secondary Stage
The High School or Secondary Stage comprise four years of multidisciplinary study, building on the subject-oriented style with greater critical thinking, greater attention to life aspirations and greater flexibility and student choice through Experiential learning, including art-integrated and sports-integrated education, story telling based pedagogy, Higher Order Thinking Skills, Internationally benchmarked pedagogy, Multimodal classrooms and exploring inter-relations among different subjects. At HAPS, we are already responsive and relevant to the developmental needs and interests of children at different stages of their development.
